باب في الاِسْتِنْشَاقِ وَالاِسْتِجْمَارِ:
Chapter: Sniffing Water and Cleaning with Stones
Hadith 726
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَائِذِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: "مَنْ اسْتَنْشَقَ، فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ، وَمَنْ اسْتَجْمَرَ، فَلْيُوتِرْ".
It is narrated from ‘A’idh bin ‘Abdullah that I heard Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “Whoever puts water into his nose should expel it thoroughly, and whoever performs istinja’ should do so with an odd number (of stones or wipes).”
