باب الْوُضُوءِ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً:
Chapter: Ablution Once
Hadith 719
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: "أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ أَوْ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِوُضُوءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ فَتَوَضَّأَ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً، أَوْ قَالَ: مَرَّةً مَرَّةً".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Shall I not tell you the way the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution? Then he washed each limb of ablution once. The narrator said, or he said: that ablution is (done) once for each (limb).
Hadith 720
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "تَوَضَّأَ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً، وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَضْمَضَةِ وَالِاسْتِنْشَاقِ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) washed each limb of wudu once, and performed rinsing of the mouth and nose with a single handful of water.
