أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: "النُّفَسَاءُ تَجْلِسُ نَحْوًا مِنْ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا".
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Women experiencing postnatal bleeding will remain (in that state) for approximately forty days.
