It is narrated from Muawiyah bin Qurrah that the wife of Aaidh bin Amr reported: She came after twenty days in the state of nifas (postnatal bleeding) and got into her husband's blanket. Aaidh said, "Who is this?" She replied, "I am your wife, I have become pure." So he struck his wife with his foot and said, "Do not deceive me in my religion; wait until forty days have passed." In Dar Qutni and Musannaf, it is mentioned that she had come to him after taking a bath.
