أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ: وَمَا تَغِيضُ الأَرْحَامُ سورة الرعد آية 8، قَالَ: "هُوَ الْحَيْضُ عَلَى الْحَبَلِ وَمَا تَزْدَادُ سورة الرعد آية 8، قَالَ: فَلَهَا بِكُلِّ يَوْمٍ حَاضَتْ فِي حَمْلِهَا يَوْمًا تَزْدَادُ فِي طُهْرِهَا حَتَّى تَسْتَكْمِلَ تِسْعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ طَاهِرًا".
Asim (al-Ahwal) narrated from Ikrimah that «وما تغيض الأرحام» refers to the menstruation of a pregnant woman, and regarding «وما تزداد», Ikrimah said: For such a woman, for every day that she continues to menstruate, her period of purity will be increased, until nine months are completed.
