Hadith 89

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، وَذَكَرَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "شَهِدْتُهُ يَوْمَ دَخَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ فَمَا رَأَيْتُ يَوْمًا قَطُّ، كَانَ أَحْسَنَ وَلَا أَضْوَأَ مِنْ يَوْمٍ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَشَهِدْتُهُ يَوْمَ مَوْتِهِ، فَمَا رَأَيْتُ يَوْمًا كَانَ أَقْبَحَ، وَلَا أَظْلَمَ مِنْ يَوْمٍ مَاتَ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ".
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) mentioned the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: When he arrived in Madinah, I was present. There was no day brighter or better than the day when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us. And I was also present on the day of his passing; I have not seen a day worse or darker than the day when he passed away.
Brief Explanation

From this narration:
It is established that with the blessed arrival of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), Madinah Munawwarah became illuminated and radiant.
And the occurrence of silence, desolation, and darkness upon his (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) passing is evidence of his being a divinely sent Prophet and one close to Allah.
Such miracles (karamat) manifest with the righteous servants of Allah.
From this narration:
