Hadith 889

Sayyidah Umm ‘Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: We did not consider yellowish or muddy (discharge) to be of any significance. That is, we did not give it any importance.

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Ahadith 887 to 889)

From both of these narrations, it is understood that after the period of menstruation (hayd) has ended, the appearance of yellowish or brownish discharge (safrah wa kadrah) holds no significance, and if it appears during the days of menstruation, it will be counted as menstruation (hayd).

This is the position of Imam Abu Hanifah, Imam Shafi'i, Imam Ahmad, Sa'id, Ata, Layth rahimahumullah and others, and this is what is correct.
