باب في وَفَاةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:Chapter: The Death of the Prophet
Hadith 85
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ هُوَ ابْنُ إِسْحَاق، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي يَعِيشُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنِي مَكْحُولٌ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "إِذَا أَصَابَ أَحَدَكُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ فَلْيَذْكُرْ مُصِيبَتَهُ بِي فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ أَعْظَمِ الْمَصَائِبِ".
Makhul (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "When any of you is afflicted with a hardship, let him remember my calamity, for it is the greatest of all calamities."
