باب في غُسْلِ الْمُسْتَحَاضَةِ:Chapter: Ghusl for the Woman with Prolonged Bleeding
Hadith 811
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمَّارٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي الْمُسْتَحَاضَةِ: "تَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ أَيَّامَ أَقْرَائِهَا، ثُمَّ تَغْتَسِلُ ثُمَّ تَحْتَشِي وَتَسْتَثْفِرُ، ثُمَّ تُصَلِّي"، فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ: وَإِنْ كَانَ يَسِيلُ ؟ قَالَ: "وَإِنْ كَانَ يَسِيلُ مِثْلَ هَذَا الْمَثْعَبِ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding the woman with continuous bleeding (mustahadah) that she should leave prayer during the days of menstruation, then perform ghusl and insert a piece of cotton, then she should pray. Someone asked: What if the blood continues to flow? He replied: Even if it flows like a stream. That is, she should fill the private area with cotton and pray, no matter how much blood comes out.
