أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ رَوْحُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ "يُبَاشِرُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ".
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would be fasting and would have intimacy with his wives.
Brief Explanation

Mubasharat refers to the touching of body to body, which is permissible for a fasting person with his wife. In the narration of Bukhari, kissing is also mentioned, and it is also stated that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) had the greatest control over his desires. Therefore, whoever is overcome by the affliction of lust should exercise caution and it is better for him to keep away.
