It is narrated from Urwah bin Zubair that Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him), informed him: The mother of Banu Abu Talhah, Lady Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her), came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Allah does not shy away from the truth. If a woman sees wetness in her sleep like a man, should she perform ghusl (ritual bath)? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Yes, she should perform ghusl." Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Shame on you, does a woman have a wet dream? The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) turned towards Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: "May dust stick to your hands, then from where does the resemblance come?" This is an Arabic idiom generally used as a curse, meaning may poverty and need come upon you, but here it is not meant as a curse but rather as an expression of astonishment.
