باب في وَفَاةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:Chapter: The Death of the Prophet
Hadith 77
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَلَا نَحْجُبُكَ ؟، فَقَالَ: "لَا، دَعُوهُمْ يَطَئُونَ عَقِبِي وَأَطَأُ أَعْقَابَهُمْ حَتَّى يُرِيحَنِيَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ".
Dawud bin Ali said: It was said to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, "Shall we make a barrier for you?" The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "No, leave them and let them crush my heels. I will trample their feet until Allah grants me relief and deliverance from them."
