أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْيدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَن ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ ..
A similar narration is also reported from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) through another chain.
Brief Explanation

From both these narrations, it is understood that it is permissible to perform ritual bath (ghusl) with water left over by a woman, and performing ablution (wudu) with it is even more permissible. This is because taking water from a tub for ritual bath does not render the water impure (najis), and for this reason the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: "Water does not become ritually impure (junub)."
In some authentic narrations, there is a prohibition regarding performing ablution and ritual bath with water left over by a woman, but the scholars are unanimous upon the permissibility established by the ahadith indicating allowance, and the prohibition has been interpreted as being for the sake of preference (tanzeeh), not absolute prohibition.
