باب الرَّجُلُ يُفْتِي بِشَيْءٍ ثُمَّ يَبْلُغُهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَيَرْجِعُ إِلَى قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:Chapter: A Man Giving a Verdict, Then Hearing a Hadith from the Prophet and Returning to It
Hadith 664
أَخْبَرَنَا قَبِيصَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، قَالَ: كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ، يَقُولُ: يَقُومُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، فَحَدَّثْتُهُ عَن سُمَيْعٍ الزَّيَّاتِ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "أَقَامَهُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ"، فَأَخَذَ بِهِ.
It is narrated from A’mash, Ibrahim said: (The other person) will stand to the left of the Imam. I informed them that, through the way of Samī‘ al-Zayyāt, Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made him stand on his right side (in prayer), and then (Ibrahim) adopted this as his practice.
