Shu’bah narrated that Mansur sent me a hadith in writing. When I met him, I asked: Can I narrate this hadith from you with your authority? He replied: When I write something to you, it is equivalent to narrating and transmitting it (i.e., it is as if I have narrated it to you face to face).
