أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ طَارِقٍ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ: "إِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ آفَةً، وَآفَةُ الْعِلْمِ النِّسْيَانُ".
It is narrated from Hakim bin Jabir that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Every thing has a calamity, and the calamity of knowledge is forgetfulness.
