It is narrated from Sufyan that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked Sayyiduna Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him): Who are the people of knowledge? He replied: Those who act according to their knowledge. He asked: And what has removed knowledge from the hearts of the scholars? He replied: (Greed) Covetousness has.
