باب الرِّحْلَةِ في طَلَبِ الْعِلْمِ وَاحْتِمَالِ الْعَنَاءِ فِيهِ:Chapter: Traveling for Knowledge and Enduring Hardship
Hadith 588
أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ: "كُنْتُ آتِي بَابَ عُرْوَةَ، فَأَجْلِسُ بِالْبَابِ، وَلَوْ شِئْتُ أَنْ أَدْخُلَ لَدَخَلْتُ، وَلَكِنْ إِجْلَالًا لَهُ".
Imam Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: When I would go to the door of Urwah bin Zubair, I would remain seated there due to his grandeur and respect, even though if I wished, I could have entered (inside) as well.
