باب الْبَلاَغِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَعْلِيمِ السُّنَنِ:Chapter: Conveying from the Messenger and Teaching the Sunnah
Hadith 579
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ يَعِيشَ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ رُسْتُمَ الْمُزَنِيِّ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ حِينَ قَدِمَ الْبَصْرَةَ: "بَعَثَنِي إِلَيْكُمْ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أُعَلِّمُكُمْ كِتَابَ رَبِّكُمْ، وَسُنَّتَكُمْ، وَأُنَظِّفُ طُرُقَكُمْ".
It is narrated from Hasan that when Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Basra, he said: Sayyiduna Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) has sent me to you so that I may teach you the Book of your Lord and your Sunnah, and so that I may clear your path.
