باب الْبَلاَغِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَعْلِيمِ السُّنَنِ:Chapter: Conveying from the Messenger and Teaching the Sunnah
Hadith 577
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّلْتِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: "يَتْبَعُ الرَّجُلَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهِ ثَلَاثُ خِلَالٍ: صَدَقَةٌ تَجْرِي بَعْدَهُ، وَصَلَاةُ وَلَدِهِ عَلَيْهِ، وَعِلْمٌ أَفْشَاهُ يُعْمَلُ بِهِ بَعْدَهُ".
Ibrahim said: A person leaves behind three things after his death: ongoing charity, the supplication of his children for him, and knowledge which he spread, so that it is acted upon after him.
