Hadith 572

أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْخِرِّيتِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ "يَضَعُ فِي رِجْلَيَّ الْكَبْلَ، وَيُعَلِّمُنِي الْقُرْآنَ وَالسُّنَنَ".
Ikrimah (the freed slave of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, used to shackle my foot and teach me the Qur'an and Sunnah.
