باب الْبَلاَغِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَعْلِيمِ السُّنَنِ:Chapter: Conveying from the Messenger and Teaching the Sunnah
Hadith 560
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَوَّامُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ أَبُو عِيسَى الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ"أَنْ لَا يَغْلِبُونَا عَلَى ثَلَاثٍ: أَنْ نَأْمُرَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ، وَنَنْهَى عَنْ الْمُنْكَرِ، وَنُعَلِّمَ النَّاسَ السُّنَنَ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us: "Let not people overcome us in three things: that we enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and teach people the Sunnah."
