It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “I will be the very first person for whom the earth will be split open on the Day of Resurrection, and there is no pride in this. I will be given the banner of praise of Allah, and there is no pride in this. I will be the leader of all people on the Day of Resurrection, and there is no pride in this. And I will be the first to enter Paradise on the Day of Resurrection, and there is no pride in this. I will come to the door of Paradise and knock on its ring. They will say: Who is this? I will reply: I am Muhammad. They will open the door for me, and I will find the Compeller (the One of Might and Wrath) before me. I will fall into prostration. (The Lord of Majesty) will say: O Muhammad! Raise your head and speak, you will be heard; ask, you will be granted; intercede, your intercession will be accepted. So I will raise my head and say: My Ummah, O my Lord! It will be said: Go to your Ummah, and whoever has faith equal to a grain of barley in his heart, admit him to Paradise. I will go and admit into Paradise whoever I find with that much faith in his heart. Before me will be (my Lord) the Compeller, and I will prostrate to Him. It will be said: O Muhammad, raise your head and speak, you will be heard; ask, you will be granted; intercede, your intercession will be accepted. I will raise my head and say: O Lord! My Ummah, my Ummah! It will be said: Go to your Ummah, and whoever has faith equal to a grain of mustard seed in his heart, admit him to Paradise. I will go to my Ummah and admit into Paradise whoever I find with that much faith in his heart. By then, the reckoning will have been completed, and those of my Ummah who remain will be cast into Hell. The people of Hell will say: No one was richer than you; you used to worship Allah and did not associate anyone with Him. The Mighty, the Compeller, will say: By My honor, I will free them from Hell. Thus, they will also be taken out of Hell, and their faces will be scorched. They will all be thrown into the River of Life, and they will grow out from it just as vegetation grows out from the debris carried by water. And it will be written between their eyes: These are the freed ones of Allah. Then they will be taken and admitted into Paradise. The people of Paradise will say to them: These are the people of Hell. The Compeller will say: (No), these are the freed ones of the Compeller.”
