Sharahbeel bin Saad said that Hasan called his sons and nephews and said: O sons of mine and my brother! You are the youngest in the family and soon you will be counted among the elders, so acquire knowledge, and whoever among you does not have the ability to memorize and narrate, let him write it down and keep it in his house.

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Ahadith 523 to 528)
From all these narrations, the encouragement, permission, and importance of writing down ahadith or scholarly matters is established. The dislike or undesirability of writing hadith reported from the noble Companions (Sahabah) and Followers (Tabi‘in) was for that time when there was a risk of confusion between the Noble Qur’an and the noble ahadith. The Prophet of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself forbade the writing of hadith, but later granted permission, as has been mentioned in various ahadith. Therefore, in today’s era, when the Qur’an and hadith are compiled, there is no harm in writing hadith, or in making notes and writing during lessons.
The ahadith of this chapter, as well as the traditions and statements of the Companions and Followers, all support this.
