It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! I wish to narrate your hadith, so if you consider it appropriate, I intend to assist my heart with the writing of my hand as well. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "First, memorize my hadith well, then assist your heart with the writing of your hand as well."

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As: I used to write everything which I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I intended (by it) to memorise it. The Quraysh prohibited me saying: Do you write everything that you hear from him while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is a human being: he speaks in anger and pleasure? So I stopped writing, and mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He signalled with his finger to him mouth and said: Write, by Him in Whose hand my soul lies, only right comes out from it.

Benefits and Issues: Benefit: A messenger is a messenger and a proof (hujjah) in every circumstance. Their entire life, in every situation, is an example for the Ummah to follow. And then Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), is the leader of all messengers.
