It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that he cooked a pot for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Give me the foreleg (the meat of the front limb)," and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) liked the foreleg. So Sayyiduna Abu Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) presented the foreleg to him. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for it again, so he presented it again. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for it again, so I said: "O Messenger of Allah! How many forelegs does a goat have?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, if you had remained silent, every time I asked, you would have continued to bring and present forelegs."
