باب اجْتِنَابِ أَهْلِ الأَهْوَاءِ وَالْبِدَعِ وَالْخُصُومَةِ:Chapter: Avoiding People of Desires, Innovations, and Argumentation
Hadith 416
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أُمَيٍّ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: "إِنَّمَا سُمُّوا أَصْحَابَ الْأَهْوَاءِ، لِأَنَّهُمْ يَهْوُونَ فِي النَّارِ".
Imam Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The slaves of desires and the self are named so because they will be thrown into Hell.
