حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْسَجَةَ، عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: "زَيِّنُوا الْقُرْآنَ بِأَصْوَاتِكُمْ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ bin ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Adorn the Qur’an with your voices.”

In this hadith, the meaning of adorning the Qur'an with one's voice is precisely that one should recite the Qur'an with a pleasant voice; it does not mean to produce sounds like music or singing.
