باب في خَتْمِ الْقُرْآنِ:Chapter on completing the Quran
Hadith 3503
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحٌ الْمُرِّيُّ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، رَفَعَهُ قَالَ: "مَنْ شَهِدَ الْقُرْآنَ حِينَ يُفْتَحُ، فَكَأَنَّمَا شَهِدَ فَتْحًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، وَمَنْ شَهِدَ خَتْمَهُ حِينَ يُخْتَمُ، فَكَأَنَّمَا شَهِدَ الْغَنَائِمَ حِينَ تُقْسَمُ".
Abu Qilabah narrated marfu'an that whoever is present at the beginning (opening) of the Holy Qur'an, it is as if he was present at the conquest in the way of Allah, and whoever is present at the completion of the Qur'an, it is as if he was present at the distribution of spoils.
