Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Ahadith 3495 to 3502)
There are various opinions among the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum) and the Tabi‘in (rahimahumullah) regarding the amount of a qintar, and in context and in language, it refers to a great quantity, a large heap of wealth and treasure, and its amount has been described differently in different eras. Therefore, it is not possible to precisely define the qintar. «واللّٰه أعلم بالصواب.»
