It is narrated from Jubair bin Nufair that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty concluded Surah Al-Baqarah with two verses which were given to me from a treasure beneath the Throne. Learn them and teach them to your women, for these two verses are blessing, Qur'an, and supplication."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Ahadith 3411 to 3422) From all these traditions and ahadith, the virtue of the first and last verses of Surah al-Baqarah, as well as Ayat al-Kursi, is established. The virtue of Ayat al-Kursi is also established from other authentic ahadith.
