Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This Noble Qur’an is a source of reward and recompense for you, a remembrance and a light for you, or (if you do not act upon it) it is a burden for you. Follow this Qur’an, and (beware) do not let the Qur’an pursue you, for whoever follows the Qur’an, it will lead him to the gardens of Paradise, and whoever is pursued by the Qur’an, it will drag him by the back of his neck and throw him into Hell. Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: «يزخ» means «يدفع», that is, to drag away.
