باب فَضْلِ مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ:Chapter on the virtue of reciting the Quran
Hadith 3349
حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ: "إِنَّ هَذَا الصِّرَاطَ مُحْتَضَرٌ، تَحْضُرُهُ الشَّيَاطِينُ يُنَادُونَ: يَا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ، هَذَا الطَّرِيقُ، فَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ، فَإِنَّ حَبْلَ اللَّهِ الْقُرْآنُ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This path is surrounded, the devils have surrounded it (i.e., they call towards the path of misguidance) and they call out, "O Abdullah" (and in another narration, "O servants of Allah"), "this is the right path." So hold firmly to the rope of Allah, and the rope of Allah is the Noble Qur'an.
