Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Would any of you like that when he returns to his house, he finds three very fat pregnant she-camels?" It was said: Certainly, O Messenger of Allah! (Each one of us would like that), he said: "Then three verses which a person recites are better than those three (fat pregnant) she-camels."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadiths 3342 to 3346)
SubhanAllah! What a great virtue there is in reciting the Qur’an—just three verses and such a tremendous reward: three she-camels, and those too pregnant and robust, which in that era were of great value. Alas, we are not even able to do this much. And this example was given by the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for the understanding of worldly people; otherwise, the verses of the Qur’an are among the most excellent blessings of the Hereafter and are those that elevate ranks in the Exalted Court.
