باب فَضْلِ مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ:Chapter on the virtue of reciting the Quran
Hadith 3340
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ قَبِيصَةُ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: "تَعَلَّمُوا هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ، فَإِنَّكُمْ تُؤْجَرُونَ بِتِلَاوَتِهِ بِكُلِّ حَرْفٍ عَشْرَ حَسَنَاتٍ، أَمَا إِنِّي لَا أَقُولُ بِ ( الم )، وَلَكِنْ بِأَلِفٍ، وَلَامٍ، وَمِيمٍ، بِكُلِّ حَرْفٍ عَشْرُ حَسَنَاتٍ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Learn this Noble Qur'an, you will be given ten rewards for every letter you recite from it. I do not say that «الم» is one letter, rather «الف لام ميم» are three letters, and for each letter there are ten rewards.
