أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَلَفٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مَعْنٌ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: "إِذَا حَدَّثْنَاكُمْ بِالْحَدِيثِ عَلَى مَعْنَاهُ، فَحَسْبُكُمْ".
Sayyiduna Wathilah bin Asqa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When we narrate hadith to you by meaning, then that is sufficient for you.
