Hadith 3209

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَشْهَبِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ، قَالَ: "الْمُؤْمِنُ لَا يَأْكُلُ فِي كُلِّ بَطْنِهِ، وَلَا تَزَالُ وَصِيَّتُهُ تَحْتَ جَنْبِهِ".
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said: A believer does not eat to his fill, and his will is always kept at his side.
Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 3208)
It is mentioned in the ahadith: «اَلْمُؤمِنُ يَأْكُلُ فِيْ مِعًي وَاحِدًا وَالْكَافِرُ يَأْكُلُ فِيْ سَبْعَةِ أَمْعَاءِ.» Most likely, Sayyiduna Hasan radi Allahu anhu derived this conclusion from this.
