باب جَرِّ الْوَلاَءِ:Chapter on transferring wala'
Hadith 3203
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَر: "الْمَمْلُوكِ يَكُونُ تَحْتَهُ الْحُرَّةُ، يُعْتَقُ الْوَلَدُ بِعِتْقِ أُمِّهِ، فَإِذَا عُتِقَ الْأَبُ، جَرَّ الْوَلَاءَ".
It is narrated from Ibrahim, may Allah have mercy on him, that Sayyiduna Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said: If a slave is married to a free woman, then his son will also be free along with his mother, and when the father is set free, he will draw the wala’ (right of allegiance) to himself.
