Hadith 3152

Abu Uthman said: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Charity (sadaqah) and a freed slave (saibah) are both for their (appointed) day.

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Ahadith 3150 to 3152)

That is, whoever gave charity and freed slaves for the sake of reward and recompense, then on the Day of Resurrection, the one who freed (the slave) will receive the full reward and recompense, as there is this addition in the narration of ‘Abd al-Razzaq (i.e.: «يوم القيامة»). In some narrations it is «لقومهما», and in some narrations it is «لوقتها»; most likely, this is among the scribal errors.

And Allah knows best, and His knowledge is most complete.
