باب قَوْلِ عَلِيٍّ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَزَيْدٍ في الرَّدِّ:Chapter on the opinions of Ali, Abdullah, and Zayd regarding return of inheritance
Hadith 2978
أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنْبَأَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِي ابْنَةٍ، وَابْنَةِ ابْنٍ، قَالَ: "النِّصْفُ وَالسُّدُسُ، وَمَا بَقِيَ، فَرَدٌّ عَلَى الْبِنْتِ".
It is narrated from Ibrahim, may Allah have mercy on him, that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, said regarding a daughter and a granddaughter: Half (is for the daughter) and one-sixth (is for the granddaughter), and whatever remains should be returned to the daughter.
