باب في الْجَدَّاتِ:Chapter on grandmothers
Hadith 2968
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْصُورُ بْنُ الْمُعْتَمِرِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: "أَطْعَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثَ جَدَّاتٍ سُدُسًا . قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ: مَنْ هُنَّهْ ؟ قَالَ: جَدَّتَاكَ مِنْ قِبَلِ أَبِيكَ، وَجَدَّتُكَ مِنْ قِبَلِ أُمِّكَ".
Ibrahim bin Maisarah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) gave one-sixth (sudus) to three grandmothers (or maternal grandmothers). Mansur bin Mu'tamir said: I asked Ibrahim: Which grandmothers are they? He said: Two grandmothers from the father's side (i.e., paternal grandmothers) and one grandmother from the mother's side (i.e., maternal grandmother).
