حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ فِي سِتَّةِ إِخْوَةٍ وَجَدٍّ، قَالَ: "أَعْطِ الْجَدَّ السُّدُسَ . قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد: كَأَنَّهُ يَعْنِي: عَلِيًّا رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ الشَّعْبِيُّ يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ.
It is narrated from Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding the inheritance of six brothers and a grandfather that the grandfather should be given one-sixth (the sixth part).
Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: That is, Sha'bi used to narrate the statement of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).
