باب في زَوْجٍ وَأَبَوَيْنِ وَامْرَأَةٍ وَأَبَوَيْنِ:Chapter on a husband, two parents, a wife, and two parents
Hadith 2911
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: "لِلْأُمِّ ثُلُثُ جَمِيعِ الْمَالِ فِي امْرَأَةٍ وَأَبَوَيْنِ، وَفِي زَوْجٍ وَأَبَوَيْنِ".
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said (regarding this issue): The mother gets one third of the entire wealth, whether the parents are with the wife or the parents are with the husband.
That is: In this matter, he supported Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both).
