It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas and Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with them). Shu’bah said: And Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) is the one who was the first to shoot an arrow in the way of Allah, and Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) is the one who climbed the fort of Ta’if and descended towards the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Both these companions narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever claims to be the son of anyone other than his father, knowing that he is not his father, Paradise is forbidden for him.”

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2893) By mentioning this hadith and the subsequent ahadith in the chapters of obligatory shares (fara’id), it is likely that Imam Darimi rahimahullah’s purpose is to show that if a person claims someone other than his own father as his father in order to obtain inheritance and estate, then this is a very grave and dreadful sin. Paradise will be forbidden for such a person, because firstly, he has committed a lie, then he has denied the lineage of his real father, and he has sought to usurp the wealth of another. Therefore, Paradise is forbidden for him.
In another narration of Sahih Bukhari [بخاري 6768], it is stated: “No one should deny his father; whoever turns away from his father, this is disbelief (kufr),” meaning he has committed an act of disbelief, and the abode of a disbeliever is Hell.
