باب في الْكَوْثَرِ:Chapter on Al-Kawthar
Hadith 2871
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ، قالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ: إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ سورة الكوثر آية 1، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "هُوَ نَهْرٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ حَافَّتَاهُ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، يَجْرِي عَلَى الدُّرِّ وَالْيَاقُوتِ، تُرْبَتُهُ أَطْيَبُ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ، وَطَعْمُهُ أَحْلَى مِنَ الْعَسَلِ، وَمَاؤُهُ أَشَدُّ بَيَاضًا مِنَ الثَّلْجِ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: When «﴿إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ﴾» was revealed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is a river in Paradise whose banks are made of gold, it flows over pearls and rubies, its soil is more fragrant than musk, its taste is sweeter than honey, and its water is whiter (and clearer) than snow."
