Hadith 2867

It is narrated from Abu Bakr bin Abdullah bin Qais, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "In Paradise, there will be a tent made of a hollow pearl, its length will be sixty miles, and at each corner there will be a wife of the Muslim whom the others will not be able to see."

Brief Explanation
(Explanation of Hadith 2866)

This includes wives and all other people. In the Noble Qur’an it is stated: « ﴿حُورٌ مَقْصُورَاتٌ فِي الْخِيَامِ﴾ [الرحمٰن : 72]» and before that: «﴿فِيهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ .....﴾ [الرحمٰن : 56]». In Paradise, there will be modest, downcast-eyed houris. According to the statement of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhuma, houris are those with dark (black) eyes (pupils), and “maqsurat” means that their gaze and hearts will be confined only to their husbands, and they will not look at anyone other than their husbands. Regarding “qasirat,” it has been said that they will not desire anyone except their husbands. “Fi al-khiyam” means they will be protected in tents. From these verses and the hadith, the existence of Paradise, houris, and the tents of Paradise is established.

In this hadith, it is mentioned that in every corner there will be a wife, and above, two wives are mentioned. So, two wives are not meant as a restriction; rather, the servant will have as many spouses as he wishes. The bounty and generosity of Allah Ta’ala have no limits or reckoning. The tents will also be so vast—sixty miles in length or width. Subhan Allah al-‘Azim. There should be no doubt or suspicion in this; whatever is established from the verses and hadith must be accepted exactly as it is, and belief and certainty are obligatory. It is not our task to delve into the nature and modality of these things.

And Allah knows best.
