Hadith 2855

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In Paradise, the place of a whip belonging to any one of you is better than the world and whatever is in it. If you wish, recite this verse: «﴿فَمَنْ زُحْزِحَ عَنِ النَّارِ . . . . . . .﴾» (Aal-e-Imran: 185/3) 'Every soul shall taste death, and you will only be given your full rewards on the Day of Resurrection. So whoever is saved from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. And the life of this world is nothing but the enjoyment of deception.'"

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadiths 2853 to 2855)

In this hadith, the value and worth of Paradise is described. And in the noble verse, firstly, the unalterable reality is stated that no one can escape death. Secondly, it is mentioned that whoever has done good or bad deeds in this world will be given their full recompense, which will be far greater and beyond imagination compared to this world. Thirdly, the criterion for success is explained: true success is for the one who, while living in this world, pleased his Lord, as a result of which he is kept away from Hell and admitted into Paradise. Fourthly, it is stated that the life of this world is a means of deception; whoever manages to escape its deception is fortunate, and whoever gets caught in its deception is unsuccessful and deprived.
