باب قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ بِشَفَاعَةِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفاً»:Chapter: The Prophet said, “Seventy thousand of my nation will enter Paradise by the intercession of one man”

أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَدْعَاءِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: "لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ بِشَفَاعَةِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَكْثَرُ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ". قَالُوا: سِوَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟، قَالَ: "سِوَايَ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Al-Jad‘a’ (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “By the intercession of one man from my Ummah, more people will enter Paradise than the (entire tribe of) Banu Tamim.” The people asked: “Other than you, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied: “Yes, other than me.”
Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2842)
From this hadith, it is understood that, besides the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), many fortunate individuals from his (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) ummah will, by the command of Allah Ta'ala, be granted permission to intercede (shafa‘ah) on the Day of Resurrection, and their intercession will be accepted.
Whoever attains this lofty rank, has indeed achieved a great status.
From this hadith, it is understood that, besides the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), many fortunate individuals from his (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) ummah will, by the command of Allah Ta'ala, be granted permission to intercede (shafa‘ah) on the Day of Resurrection, and their intercession will be accepted.
