باب في سُجُودِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ:Chapter on the prostration of believers on the Day of Judgment
Hadith 2838
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْبَزَّازُ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ إِسْحَاق، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ: "إِذَا جَمَعَ اللَّهُ الْعِبَادَ فِي صَعِيدٍ وَاحِدٍ، نَادَى مُنَادٍ: لِيَلْحَقْ كُلُّ قَوْمٍ بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ، فَيَلْحَقُ كُلُّ قَوْمٍ بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ، وَيَبْقَى النَّاسُ عَلَى حَالِهِمْ، فَيَأْتِيهِمْ، فَيَقُولُ: مَا بَالُ النَّاسِ ذَهَبُوا وَأَنْتُمْ هَاهُنَا ؟، فَيَقُولُونَ: نَنْتَظِرُ إِلَهَنَا، فَيَقُولُ: هَلْ تَعْرِفُونَهُ ؟ فَيَقُولُونَ: إِذَا تَعَرَّفَ إِلَيْنَا، عَرَفْنَاهُ، فَيَكْشِفُ لَهُمْ عَنْ سَاقِهِ فَيَقَعُونَ سُجُودًا، فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَنْ سَاقٍ وَيُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى السُّجُودِ فَلا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سورة القلم آية 42 وَيَبْقَى كُلُّ مُنَافِقٍ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ، ثُمَّ يَقُودُهُمْ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When Allah, the Exalted, gathers the servants on a land, a caller will call out: Every nation should follow that which it used to worship. So the people will follow that which they used to worship (in the world), and some people will remain in that state (i.e., they will not follow anyone). At that time, Allah, the Exalted, will come to them and say: What is the matter, all the people have gone and you are still here? They will say: We are waiting for our Lord. Allah, the Exalted, will say: Do you recognize Him? They will say: If You show us a sign, we will recognize our Lord. At that time, Allah, the Exalted, will uncover His shin and they will fall down in prostration." This is what Allah, the Exalted, has said in this verse: «﴿يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَنْ سَاقٍ . . . . . .﴾» (Al-Qalam: 42/68) Translation: The Day the shin will be uncovered and they will be called to prostration but will not be able to do so.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every hypocrite will remain standing and will not be able to prostrate, then the believers will be sent towards Paradise."
