Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Ahadith 2827 to 2829)

Gentleness, mildness, and compassion are such qualities that a person becomes beloved and accepted by everyone, and is also beloved in the sight of Allah. The reward, recompense, and divine gifts that descend upon gentleness are not granted for harshness and hard-heartedness. Whoever adopts harshness and hard-heartedness becomes disliked in the eyes of people and is also disliked by Allah.

However, in matters of religion, gentleness and undue compromise are highly undesirable.
